It appears that we are finally reaching the end of the semester. If all things are right in your world, then you need only to finish your iMovie PSA project and write the final narratives for NETS-T 3-5. If all things are not right in your world, then you are behind and have a lot of catching up to do. I have graded and regraded everything except the Google Sites on cybersafety for Monday's class and will have everything graded for Thursday's class before class on Thursday. For the Google Sites, please tell me who is in your group and what specific page(s) you worked on to make it easier for me to assess. Also, please go back through your assignments to ensure you have received credit for your work. If you have not, read my comments and resubmit any missing work ASAP (for Thursday class, give me a couple days to finish re-grading).
This Week: We will be finishing the iMovie projects and ensuring you can embed them on your blog. Bring your emerging tech checklist so I can help you with any work you need to get on your blog. I will also go over the final NETS narratives and discuss which artifacts are going where (CLICK HERE to get access to some student samples). Remember, my goal for next week is to have everyone finished with his/her TaskStream narratives completed and ready to discuss with me in class. Ideally, when you leave class next week, you will be finished with the course (he says with high hopes and fingers' crossed).
If you need extra help, please, please, talk to me and schedule a time to meet either this week or next. I can make myself available, but I am not willing to work harder than my students are at their work ;-)
This Week's Question: What has been your favorite assignment in this class and why?
My favorite assignment so far has been creating my blog. I was very skeptical at first and didn't believe that it would end up looking like an actual blog. But somehow...somewhere...in this crazy world of technology, I have managed to pull it off, sort of. I am very excited to have learned how to use blogs for educational purposes and also for professional development. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite assignment so far has also been by blog. Not only is it a useful tool for the classroom, I can also use it in my personal life.
ReplyDeleteMine has also been my blog! Ive found it to be a lot of fun....I looked it over and was impressed with all of the things that we have learned :o)
ReplyDeleteI would say the crossword project was my favorite.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite assignment so far was the newsletter.
ReplyDeleteI have really enjoyed the imovie assignment. It has convinced me to buy a mac because of this one program. Imovie was something that i thought was going to be difficult but turned out to be fun and exciting and easy to use.
ReplyDeleteI would definitely say that the Classroom Newsletter was my favorite.
ReplyDeleteInspiration :) I have already used it in my class and my students loved it!!!

ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to say blog, especially the journal about 100 things that made us happy.

I am almost convinced on getting an iMac! Prezi was great to learn because it is a free online presentation tool that can be accessed anywhere, and Powerpoint drives me crazy!

ReplyDeleteAlmost all of it, but the imove was the best.
ReplyDeleteAlthough some of the assignments took a while to complete, I honestly enjoyed all of them. The prezi assignment was enjoyable, and the website itself is a great tool to know how to use. However, my favorite overall was the newsletter. I fully intend to use this when I have my own classroom.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite assignment in this class was the IMovie, I really enjoyed editing the video the way I liked and adding the different special effects. This is something I never have done before and I have done so much with computers taking computer programming classes and having a senior computer analysist for a father. I didn't think I would ever get to make my own video, but I did with your class and loved it!
ReplyDeleteI will probably use Prezi for quite a few things. I think that it can be useful to collect a large pool of related data, and then specially prepare
ReplyDeleteunique ‘arrangements’ as the situation demands.
My favorite assignment was the IMovie. I am looking for a new computer for family stuff and using the Apple and seeing how easy it really is sold me. So, now I am waiting to save up for my new Apple...Thanks!
